Bashkiria delegation presented Russia at Beekeepers Conference in Slovenia

The delegation of Bashkortostan presented Russia at an international conference on the role of bees and other pollinators in the sustainable development of agriculture and food security in Slovenia .

The main goal of the forum was developing optimal ways to solve beekeeping issues.

Delegates from 17 countries attended the conference . The head of the Russian delegation — the director of the Bashkir Scientific and Research Center for Beekeeping and Apitherapy Amir Ishemgulov — spoke about the state of the beekeeping industry in Russia and Bashkortostan. Conference participants highly appreciated the experience accumulated by the republic in the beekeeping industry.

In addition, Amir Ishemgulov made a presentation of the Russian Federation, Bashkortostan, and Ufa as the hosting party of the 47th Apimondia Congress in 2021.

17 participating countries adopted a joint declaration on the conference, which they addressed to the world community.

On May 20, Slovenia celebrated the first World Bee Day, a holiday that entered the calendar of significant world dates by the UN General Assembly.
